Benefits of Using Free and Trial Software in HubPages
61FreeTrial Download - AVG Internet Security 9.0 c/o linkscanner
With the cost of my internet connection, I cannot afford to buy all the needed software to make my laptop function well and aid me to compose and edit my hubs in HubPages.
First on my list is the anti-virus software that proved to be useful in removing different viruses that threaten my laptop whenever I am connected or download videos, mp3 or photos from the Web. After a month trial period, I will change to another reliable anti-virus that offers it for me. I’m sure you did try it already, fellow hubbers.
AVG Technologies, Inc., just like any other anti-virus software, offers AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition that is very functional when detecting malware, worms and other viruses. For a month, all the security components, like anti-virus, anti-spy ware, anti-spam, link scanner, anti-rootkit, e-mail scanner, identity protection, online and resident shield are functioning well. You can check www.avg.com for more free, but useful software made by company from Czech Republic.
The next problem posed by downloading photos from the internet is whether it is JPEG (Joint Photographic Expert Group), png or GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) files. Bitmap (pattern of pixels) images are not recognized by HubPages. So, the safest way is to convert it all in JPEG output.
VSO Image Resizer is a freeware which gives me the ease to upload photos in my hub. I’m using version 3.0.1.82. If the photo is too large, I can resize it easily then convert it to JPEG. For updates, just visit http://www.vso-software.fr and find more interesting facts about other software from VSO France.
Meanwhile, photos I’ve taken personally that I can use in my hubs came from my handy digital camera. To edit the images I’ve shot, I use DCEnhancer version 1.3, a freeware that will enhance your pictures, whether you want it in landscape, mid details or close-up. You can look for updates and more photo tools at http://www.mediachance.com.
The videos I linked in my hubs from my YouTube account and other sources can easily be converted by Total Video Converter. I’m using the standard version 3.01 which can convert your video into your desired output.
There are other freewares that are virus-free that you can use in the future. It's up to you if you will avail it or just buy what software you want in the market if you have enough budget.
