Vacation Itinerary to Naga City, Bicol, Philippines

Everyone (all hubbers, I think) is getting giddy with this penultimate hub on vacation itinerary marking your favorite hotels, restaurants and favorite sights.

I've chosen Naga City and re-introduce it to the world. A first-class, autonomous (independent) city in Camarines Sur, the rich history of the city bounced back to Hispanic times in the late 15th century where the second fleet of Spanish armada braved the soil of cimmarones (tattoed-natives of the province) and successfully converted them to Christian faith. Along with this development, Spaniards were able to incorporate their culture and industry to the locals.

So, if you're going to visit us here, you'll never worry about the flexibility of the Naguenos. We have many famous persons that we can boast of, from politics and showbusiness, including fashion. To mention a few, the Philippines' bet to the World Mayor 2010 contest, DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government) Secretary Jesse M. Robredo and USA-based fashion guru Josie Natori (who just recently paid a visit on her mother's birthday, Sept. 29,2010) came from this unique city (also a sister city of Los Angeles, California).

I really like you, to experience Filipino hospitality at its best, as hot as the 'jalapeno peppers and Mayon Volcano' and in-between surprises I'd like you to discover. Be in love with the diversity of our city.

If you travel by air, a 45-minute travel from Manila will take you to the Naga airport, situated at Pili, capital of Camarines Sur. If you want to be carried at the nearest sports site, you can first drop by at the CWC (Camarines Sur Watersports Complex) at Provincial capitol then be billeted at the top hotels in Naga City downtown.

• Tourist Traps can also mean 'accidentals' that you'll encounter when exploring new places, like Naga City. Since the place is in a tropical country, Philippines, wet season (heavy rains or downpour) is throughout the whole year (don't mind the El Nino every after three or five years). It usually rains in the afternoons. Cautions or travel advisory is usually given to foreign tourist to get acquainted with the local weather condition.
  
• Restaurants & Nightlife can be enjoyable if you're with the right company. Don't overdo eating fatty but succulent food. Always carry attapulgite pills, that will prevent you from having LBM (loose bowel movement) Avoid persons who will automatically befriend you and con you later. Sex and booze are dangerous, sometimes.
  
• Transportation always starts with key cities like Manila, Cebu and Davao. International planes have frequent stops at Manila international airports. From there, with your customs pass and luggage in tow, you'll be transferred to a local connecting flight to get you to your destination. Traveling by air is fast, but if you travel by bus, it could be risky if you don't have a guide or company.
• Sports travel is the in-thing nowadays. You can reach our city if you join international sports events, like marathon or triathlon, motocross or wake boarding.
• Hotels & Accomodation can be tricky with that +++ on the service pay.  You can bargain your stay on the hotel of your liking. There are cheap travel inns and motels that compete with star-studded hotels. Just look for a clean, tidy room (with wi-fi internet service as their promotion) or be a simple tourist as you can be, if you are on a budget.
• Local Customs & Shopping Fellow travelers will suggest of  known shopping centers in the city. But you can bargain for souvenir items at the cart stores or boutique shops at a half price than in posh department stores.
