It's just a fad
It’s a statement, not a sentiment. Really, colors influences the way you choose clothes what to wear. Clothes, mascara, perfume, shoes, accessories…these are some of the plethora of things men and women have to own and wear in different kinds of workforces, places, and occasion or even at home.
Impression Management
At a young age, I was always in awe when I went to movie houses watching Hollywood movies with actors and actresses who were superb-looking due to their clothes, hair styles, shoes, and the way they portrayed make-believe lifestyles.
Motion pictures and television industries have the ability to control the perception of visual imagery thereby out shadowing the harsh realities of life.
Nowadays, there is a need and opportunity for men and women to dress so that no one would underestimate their status in life (including income, success, education and socio-economic heritage). This can be called the ‘science of wardrobe packaging’ to present a certain image of an individual until proven different from the first impression. An instant acceptance will follow as you dress amid the world full of strangers and ignore the hidden qualities because of the superficial world of telecommunications.
Clone Models?
Why are we imitating the glamour of the modeling world? One frank answer is to be like them; even we cannot even do justice of the clothes we are wearing because we lack the physical appearance as a whole.
The magic of wardrobe department empowers the status of men and women who have a specific function or status in the society. You can see the finesse of clothing for the presidents, first ladies, politicians, businessmen, and the like because they have roles to fulfill in the community. Men and women of power and upper socio-economic background confidently utilize these things to prove that they can afford such luxury. It’s all about ‘power dressing’.
Commercialism
Endorsement of fine and beautiful looking models and well-known personalities (actors & actresses, etc.) often persuade us to buy a particular product, as in clothes, perfumes, shoes and jewelries. The masses should never be left behind. Even they can only afford knock off versions of it, they try hard to look presentable every day.
After all, life imitates art, isn’t it?
